About

Lucienne Bellissimo
‘work and business’

My background can be divided into three areas:

Sport – Eventing CCI4* since 2006
Science – BSc. Chiropractic
Technology – Black Box VC USA & Google Campus London - founder startup.

Born on a farm in ‘The New Forest’ Hampshire, UK “I’m a forest girl at heart”. Riding before she could walk, Lucienne grew up in an equestrian business environment. Breaking, dealing and competing both Race horses and event horses in volume for clients from 2003.

Equestrian Training influences include British dressage equestrian Lizzie Murray and her mother Jennie Loriston-Clarke who competed at the 1972, 1976, 1984 and the 1988 Summer Olympics. Multiple times World No1 Oliver Townend, and Double Olympic World Champion Mark Todd CBE. Erik Duvander, NZ and USA Team coach.

Always one for multitasking 2011 Lucienne started an equestrian based Start Up “Horse Scout”; by 2013 she’d attained backing from Google Campus London, and was part of USA, Black Box VC by 2017 immersing herself in sport and tech felt like the right blend, consequently she later deregistered from chiropractic completely. “I had a severe foot and ankle injury in 2013, so if I could not ride I wanted to use the time effectively. Sometimes the worst moments open the doors to the best moments later on”.

Once business stabilized Lucienne returned to eventing, and running her business between the UK and USA.

A theme of physical rehabilitation…
“In 2018 I was involved in a serious car accident in the UK, and it was definitely a very challenging time personally. Twenty-eight bones broken and a lot of surgery, however I was extremely lucky to have been able to return to riding, for sure I’m a little asymmetric but I’m feeling so greatful to return and therefore stronger than ever”.

2023 Lucienne was ranked 9th in the US Eventing Rankings and top 50 in the World FEI Eventing Athlete Rankings.

2025

Today Lucienne trains with US Jumping Olympian Lauren Hough
and American Grand Prix dressage rider Jovanna Stepan.

Producing a string to CCI5* and delivering international event horse sales. “The goal would be to represent Team USA within the next ten years, while placing some seriously quality horses into the American eventing scene to support the business, I believe it’s good to sell good ones. The aim for 2025 will be to get Dyri and Tremanton their first CCI5* at Rolex Kentucky in April”.
