Lucienne Bellissimo

“My background can be divided into three: sciences, sport and technology”.

Born on a farm in the UK Hampshire and riding before she could walk, Lucienne grew up backing, starting and dealing horses in volume. She rode to the international FEI CCI4* eventing level for the first time in 2006.

Living in UK and Europe competitively producing horses for international sales, while completing a five year doctorate of Chiropractic 2010.

Equestrian Training influences include British dressage equestrian Lizzie Murray and her mother Jennie Loriston-Clarke who competed at the 1972, 1976, 1984 and the 1988 Summer Olympics. Multiple times World No1 Oliver Townend, and Double Olympic World Champion Mark Todd CBE.

Always one for multitasking 2011 Lucienne started an equestrian based Start Up “Horse Scout”; by 2013 she’d attained backing from Google Campus London, and was part of USA, Black Box VC by 2017 immersing herself in sport and tech felt like the right blend, consequently she later deregistered from chiropractic completely. “I had a severe foot and ankle injury in 2013, so if I could not ride I wanted to use the time effectively. Sometimes the worst moments open the doors to the best moments later on”.

Once business stabilized Lucienne returned to eventing, and running her business between the UK and USA.

“2018 I was involved in a car accident in England, and it was definitely a very challenging time.  Over twenty eight bones broken and a lot of reconstructive surgery, however I was extremely lucky to have been able to return to riding, sure I’m a little asymmetric but I’m feeling stronger than ever”.

2023 Lucienne was ranked 9th in the US Eventing Rankings and top 50 in the World FEI Eventing Athlete Rankings.

Today Lucienne trains with US and New Zealand Team coach Erik Duvander, and Jovanna Stepan American Grand Prix dressage rider and coach, she’s still producing a string to CCI5* and delivering international event horse sales.
